ACT Math · Lesson 51

Additional Practice Test 1

A second 45-question, 50-minute full-length ACT Math form that rises in difficulty, with worked solutions.

Directions and Timing

This form follows a broadly balanced current-enhanced mix and rises in difficulty overall. It begins with quick core points, introduces more representation changes through the middle, and ends with several higher-demand items that require choosing a relationship before calculating. Local variation remains possible, so question position should guide pacing only broadly, not determine how much time any one item deserves.

Time: 50 minutes. Questions: 45. Calculator permitted throughout.

Pacing

Work in order unless a question becomes locally expensive. Choose the best answer and move on when the route is not developing. Do not leave any question unanswered.

  • Roughly 15 questions complete by 14 to 16 minutes.
  • Roughly 30 questions complete by 31 to 34 minutes.
  • That preserves 16 to 19 minutes for the final 15 questions, which are the highest-demand items.

After the test

Check your answers only after time is up. For each miss, decide whether the cause was recognition, execution, or a content gap, then return to the matching unit in this course for targeted practice. Several items here are setup questions: do not calculate a number that was never asked for.
