30-Day Study Plan
Days 30–24: Rebuild the course in sequence. Review Units 1–3 using the unit review sections, the unit timelines, and the chapter memory checks. Complete one mixed MCQ set each day. On the final day, write one source-based SAQ without notes.
Days 23–17: Review Units 4–6. Add one LEQ evidence sort every other day. Keep an error log with only six labels: chronology, domain, specificity, source reading, evidence link, and distractor logic. Relearn the history behind every repeated error.
Days 16–11: Review Units 7–9. Complete one DBQ document-job drill on three different days. Practice the three SAQ source types separately: secondary interpretation, primary text, and non-text source.
Day 10: Take Practice Exam 1 under timed conditions. Do not study immediately afterward. Score it first.
Days 9–8: Repair only the errors revealed by Exam 1. Redo missed MCQs without looking at the answer choices first. Rewrite one weak SAQ and one weak essay paragraph.
Day 7: Take Practice Exam 2 under timed conditions.
Days 6–5: Repair Exam 2 by error type. Rebuild any timeline that produced an out-of-window answer. Review the evidence locator for weak units.
Day 4: Complete a timed three-SAQ set and one timed LEQ. Stop after scoring. Do not turn the day into a second full exam.
Day 3: Take Practice Exam 3 or, if endurance is already secure, complete only its MCQ and DBQ sections under time.
Day 2: Light repair. Review amendments, major laws, period boundaries, federal-power comparisons, and your personal error log. No new content.
Day 1: Confirm Bluebook and device logistics, then stop heavy studying. Sleep matters more than one more chapter.
7-Day Study Plan
Day 7: Units 1–3. Reconstruct the chronology from memory. Complete 30 mixed MCQs and one secondary-source SAQ.
Day 6: Units 4–5. Review the Market Revolution through Reconstruction. Complete one LEQ evidence sort and one timed SAQ.
Day 5: Units 6–7. Review industrialization through World War II. Complete 30 mixed MCQs and one DBQ document-job drill.
Day 4: Units 8–9. Review the Cold War through the early twenty-first century. Complete one non-text SAQ and one long-window comparison drill.
Day 3: Take one full practice exam under time.
Day 2: Repair the practice exam. Review only missed content, repeated chronology errors, and the writing functions that lost points.
Day 1: Read the master chronology, the eight thematic strands, and your error log. Confirm the device and testing instructions. Stop early.
2-Day Emergency Plan
Day 1, morning: Rebuild the nine-period chronology from memory, then check it. Review Units 3–8 most heavily because they carry the largest official weight.
Day 1, afternoon: Complete 40 mixed MCQs. Review every wrong answer by error type. Then complete one three-question SAQ set.
Day 1, evening: Review the federal-power strand, race and citizenship strand, migration strand, and America-in-the-world strand. Stop before exhaustion.
Day 2, morning: Complete one DBQ plan and one LEQ plan. Two full essays are not necessary. Check thesis, context, evidence eligibility, and reasoning.
Day 2, midday: Review amendments, high-value laws, court cases, and prompt-window dates.
Day 2, afternoon: Open Bluebook, confirm the exam appears under Your Tests if applicable, charge the device, prepare the power cord, and follow the AP coordinator’s instructions.
Day 2, evening: No cramming. Read your personal error list once, then stop.
